Autopay Authorization
Effective September 26, 2026
This is the authorization you give when you turn on automatic payments in the resident portal. It lets your association collect your assessments from the card or bank account you save, without you paying by hand each time.
1. What you authorize
You authorize your association, through HOA by Kai'Ros and its payment processor Stripe, to charge the saved card or debit the saved bank account for assessments and charges posted to your unit's account as they come due, until you cancel.
2. Amounts and timing
- Each charge equals the balance due on your unit account on or after its due date, such as regular assessments, special assessments, and late fees your association has posted.
- Charges run on the association’s billing schedule, generally on or shortly after the due date.
- Your payment history and upcoming balances are always visible in the resident portal.
3. Changes in amount
If your association changes your assessment, the new amount is charged from its effective date. Your association is responsible for notifying owners of assessment changes as its governing documents and Florida law require.
4. Bank account debits
For bank accounts, you authorize ACH debits under the rules of the ACH network. If a debit is returned for insufficient funds or a closed account, the charge may be retried, your association may apply fees under its governing documents, and autopay may be turned off.
5. Cancelling or changing your payment method
You can turn off autopay or replace your payment method at any time under Account in the resident portal. Cancellation applies to charges not yet started; allow up to 3 business days for it to take effect on a charge scheduled soon after.
6. Record of your consent
When you enroll we record the date, time, and IP address of your authorization and the payment method type. Your card or bank numbers are held by Stripe, not by us or your association.
7. Disputes and errors
If a charge looks wrong, contact your association first. You can also contact your card issuer or bank under the protections they provide. For help with the portal itself, email support@genesishoa.app.
8. Keep a copy
This page stays available at any time so you can print or save it for your records.
